Inuit stone carver, Amiraq was born February 4, 1966 in Cambridge Bay, Northwest Territories and spent his growing up years in the town of Tuktoyuktuk, Northwest Territories.He is a self taught artist who started carving 1980.His mediums are soapstone, antler and ivory.
