Terrance is a world renowned Tahltan carver originating from Telegraph Creek, B.C. Born in
Prince Rupert in 1956, of the Wolf Clan, his career began at the age of 15, studying under master
carvers, Dempsey Bob, and Dale Campbell. The first of his works were in wood, but he has
developed into many media. Terrance has done 2 and 3 dimensional carvings including the first
and only totem pole to be raised in Hong Kong.
Now, Terrance has also become an accomplished jewellery carver, with a distinct and unique
style of creativity engraving in both silver and gold. His jewellery is discernible by his deep and
clean lines of flow design.
Words of elders and the oral history of his people, is where Terrance finds his strength and
inspiration. His Tahltan name is Eth-Cath-Kee which means "teacher of his children" is very true
to his character, as he is often called upon as a role model for our young native peoples today.
Currently, Terrance resides in Arizona where he is studying his native culture and healing, and
passing on his teachings and working with young people. He continues to work on his jewellery
and returns home to northen British Columbia every autumn.
