Trevor Angus was born in 1970 in Hazelton, British Columbia, Canada. He is part of the Gitksan/Tsimshian nation and takes the Frog as his family crest. Trevor graduated in 1993 from a four year carving program at ÔKsan, British Columbia's first Native art school, situated inside an open air museum representing a Gitksan Village of the 1800's. Trevor lists such Northwest Coast master carvers as Vernon Stephens and Ken Mowatt among his teachers. Trevor is one of many contemporary northwest coast artists continuing the artistic traditions of his ancestors for future generations.
