Leanne is of the Northwest Coastal Tsimshian Native Tribe from Lax Kw Alaams, B.C. and the daugher of Carole and Art Helin, Hy'emass of the Gitgeese Tribe now residing in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia on Vancouver Island.
Leanne has attended the renowned Gemology Institute of America, learning her craft and has apprenticed with her brother Bill Helin, in Tsimshian designs since 1988...she has taken the native jewellery designing to the next phase and flare...creating an elegant flow of artistry.
The designs and crests of her Tsmishian heritage flow through her work and the legends of her ancestry guide her creativity - retaining the set and strict form lines on every peice of hand engraved jewellery in 14kt gold or sterling silver...enjoyed by many around the world.
